ARES Security Has Partnered with MPS-ISAO to Add Real Time Cyber Alerts to The ASSURE Suite of Products

ARES Security (ASC) has recently entered into a strategic alliance with the Maritime and Port Security Information Sharing Analysis Organization (MPS-ISAO) to provide targeted cyber threat intelligence to customers. The MPS-ISAO, a non-profit founded in 2016, provides maritime critical infrastructure with cyber intelligence and coordinated response to move organizations’ resilience stance from reactive to proactive. By integrating MPS-ISAO maritime focused threat intelligence notifications into the CommandBridge platform and the ASSURE product line, customers will receive priority alerts to be acted upon which will further improve the safety and security of their maritime resources.

During the past eighteen months, the global port and maritime community has seen a notable increase in cyber-attacks and ransomware exploits which have disrupted business operations and negatively impacted revenues. Estimates associated with the Petya cyber attack are in the hundreds of millions of dollars in lost revenue alone.[1] Kurt Whitcher, VP of Cyber Security for ARES, offers, “Cyber security has emerged as a pressing concern for our customers.  As such, ASC continues to build upon their extensive cyber solution, ASSURE Cyber, with the addition of the targeted cyber alerts to prevent against these rapidly increasing threats.” Christy Coffey, VP of Member Services for the MPS-ISAO, adds, “When MPS-ISAO intelligence meets ASSURE Cyber, this early threat awareness can make proactive cyber security a reality.”

Most organizations can address bits and pieces of a security defense strategy to defend against cyber threats, but building a complete and effective defense requires specialized and extensive resources. The Assure Cyber solution helps to cover the full range of threats by providing a Unified Enterprise Security platform that integrates a Security Operations Center, a Security Intrusion and Event Management system, and incorporates adaptive, predictive, and learning mechanisms to recognize detrimental network behavior before it can inflict damage to your network and operations.
