ARES Security (ASC) has recently created a new annual fundraising initiative. Each year ASC will run a friendly fundraising competition between our three offices, to help those in need. This year, ARES Security has chosen to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) whose mission is to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients through funding research initiatives as well as providing both financial and informational support to those affected by these cancers.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society  is the largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding research, finding cures and ensuring access to treatments for blood cancer patients. Since 1949, LLS has been on the forefront of blood cancer advances such as chemotherapies and stem cell transplantation leading the way to the targeted therapies and immunotherapies that are saving thousands of lives today.
LLS is changing the landscape of cancer with more than 300 active research projects that explore different avenues of new and adventurous research; those with promise and those that will save lives not someday, but today.
Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases as well. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.

LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients as well as support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
