ARES Security Corporation (ASC) has recently signed a contract with one of America’s premier nuclear energy companies to provide their advanced risk assessment software, AVERT and Advanced Behavior Modules, for the protection and security of nuclear sites. ASC’s AVERT software has quickly become the industry standard for quantitative security risk assessments with 65% of the North American nuclear reactors currently using the software. The AVERT suite of software enables customers to optimize their defensive security capabilities through quantitative risk assessments to improve the level of security effectiveness while lowering costs.

The AVERT software is known for exceptional dynamic pathway analysis. AVERT’s newest features include Advanced Behaviors which allows users to customize agent behaviors without time-consuming and error prone scripting. These Advanced Behaviors include combat simulation, sniper fire, advanced breaching and many other attack and response capabilities that capture the detailed reality of threats to critical infrastructure. The new AVERT All Hazards software is also available to simulate and analyze responses to the damaging effects of natural disasters such as tornadoes, hurricanes, flooding and seismic activity.

“We remain committed to help our customers reach the goals of the Nuclear Promise which provides for the viability of the industry while protecting its critical infrastructure,” stated Ben Eazzetta, CEO of ARES Security. “The powerful suite of AVERT software, which now includes Advanced Behaviors and All Hazards, can be used to accurately assess a site’s security position versus known threats and help reduce the cost of security by up to 50%. This is a huge opportunity for the nuclear industry where the cost of security is a major portion of the operational budget.”
